The Vintage Tavern
This is one of our favorite local places to relax and dine with friends and we can’t say enough about owner and wine expert, Jeff Payton, who eagerly welcomes guests with a smile. Stocked with wines from around the world, the on-site cellar doesn’t disappoint and neither does the food.
We were excited to construct a second floor addition for the Vintage Tavern, already a hot spot with locals. The second floor features a hand built bar, ample table seating, a kitchen that would cause most chefs to drool, and his and her bathrooms.
Our favorite feature is the zip-down marine vinyl, which helps keep in the heat and will allow the room to be used even when the temperature drops. In the warmer months, the vinyl can be rolled up creating even more room for seating and a better view. Hope you can make it to the Vintage this summer. We’ll see you there.

Atrium Cafe
We were delighted to work on the Atrium Cafe with Rock and Gayle, owners of the cafe and Green Gables Antiques in Port Huron. This project was a dream come true for Rock and Gayle who had always wanted to open a restaurant. After years of salvaging items from buildings they had owned, they hoped to one day reuse the pieces. During construction, we incorporated salvaged items into the cafe by repurposing trim and doors, architectural elements, and various treasures.
In the second phase of building, we constructed the atrium. We built the skeleton of the structure and Rock and Gayle made it their own by finishing the interior space in an art deco style. Stop in for a bite to eat (Gayle’s menu is exceptional), to take a peek at the beautifully finished space, and to be transported back to another era.
